We are members of The ArcView Group - the legal cannabis industry's premier hub for investment, data and progress.
Dori Edwards, Principle owned and operated three dispensaries in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area. Her first dispensary was voted the #1 Dispensary in the State. Ms. Edwards is highly connected, well respected and most importantly trusted by her peers in the close-knit canna-business community. She co-founded the Ann Arbor Medical Cannabis Guild and served on it executive team while she was a dispensary owner. She has maintained close relationships with other dispensary owners, growers and testing labs. She currently markets a line of topicals called "Dori Balm" to dispensaries within the state. Ms. Edwards is also well known and liked by the patient community and brings with her a loyal customer following which is vital to kick off strong sales in the Dispensary business. Accordingly, Ms. Edwards primary focus initially will be in establishing and promoting the Dispensary. She will also be vital to establishing the cultivation centers which is where her true passions lies and ancillary product development. She is has a wealth of knowledge about individual strains and is keenly aware of what sells commercially.
Allison Ireton is an attorney with a background in Health Care Regulatory law and federal litigation. Ms. Ireton's experience with interpreting statutes and seeking opinions on grey areas of legislation and regulations make her an ideal compliance officer. Compared to other states, the medical marijuana laws in Michigan are still largely unsettled. This is one reason Blue Bud Enterprises is investing in various business lines to spread risk and revenue among entirely safe and legal businesses (testing lab, retail growing supplies and the grow operations to the extent it remains legal) and those for which the regulator structure has yet to be established (dispensary and extracted oils and edibles or "medibles").
Ms. Ireton's focus initially will be on legal compliance and establishing and coordinating human resources policies and procedures among the entities. She will work actively in the dispensary, grow operations and testing lab build out and start-up.
Both Ms. Edwards and Ms. Ireton are the founders and co-chairs of the Southeast Michigan Chapter of Women Grow. Their leadership involvement in this organization gives them access to women leaders in the national cannabis industry. The organization was created to connect, educate, inspire and empower the next generation of cannabis industry leaders by creating programs, community and events for aspiring and current business executives. Founded in 2014 in Denver, Women Grow serves as a catalyst for women to influence
